Who I can't live without

When I was born you weren’t there

An angel sent me to you, my dear

Came in my life with your heart open

Many words of wisdom you’ve spoken

Time flies I’m three

Awaiting to be adopted into your family tree

You’ll take the sweater off your back

For any soul who needs just that

You are the rainbow after a shower

A peaceful purple lily flower

You have become my candlelight

A heart to guide me when I feel despite

Lighting may strike and thunder get loud

But you are my sunshower cloud

Tears will form, nostrils then flare

Not to worry, daddy’s my teddybear

You made me realize home is not a place

For with your soul, I feel safe

You opened my mind, now aware of world around me

More lessons learned every time you surround me

You are my favorite season, spring

With all the hope and joy you bring

I make many mistakes and you do too

But I know I can always count on you

You taught me all about football

And watched as I quickly grew tall

I know you’re quickly growing old too

But you still taught me how to tie my shoe

You are my cup of tea

My sweet remedy

I would do anything in the world

Just to stay your little girl

When I was born you weren’t there

An angel sent me to you, my dear
