I see her hurting, lying broken,
Air filled with words unspoken,
He shouts and breaks again the silence
With his ceaseless violence,
And yet she remains, standing tall,
Leaning, breaking, against the wall,
Refusing to let the first tear fall.
How can she continue this,
When her pain is his only bliss?
I glance at him and begin to move,
but she whispers "No."
"I love him, I can't choose his mood."
