Why Are We Giving Thanks?

Location

One day in the year,

We feast with our closest loves,

But forget for what.

What's to give thanks for?

This bleek, sad world we live in,

Innocent people die.

But we choose to eat.

We eat enough the whole year.

Why not give some back?

Those much more in need,

Homeless kids sleeping outside,

Why are they thankful?

They feel blessed with life,

Which is the meaning of Thanksgiving Day,

But we forget that.

Thanksgiving is near,

Give to those less fortunate,

and really give thanks.
