Why Can't I Speak My Mind?

Because,
I'm merely a girl.
There are expectations on what I can wear.
Say.
Buy.
Do.
Think.

I'm merely a daughter.
There are rules as to what I can wear.
Say.
Buy.
Do.
Think.

I'm merely a student.
There are limits on what I can wear.
Say.
Buy.
Do.
Think.

I'm merely a teenager.
There are restrictions on what I can wear.
Say.
Buy.
Do.
Think.

I'm almost an adult now which means the restrictions on what I can
Wear,
Say,
Buy,
Do,
And think,
Will evaportate.

No more limits, rules, or expectations of who I have to be.

After 18 years of being told what I can wear,
Say,
Buy,
Do,
Think,
It's hard to think for myself.

But now that I'm an adult, I will be the only one who creates
Expectations,
Rules,
Limits,
And restrictions,
On what I can wear,
Say,
Buy,
Do,
And think.

I may not know how to speak my mind now,
But I will-

-Eventually.

Because I am an individual
