Why Change?

Location

See a boy grow up with bruises on his back

‘Cause he can’t change how he’s born

See a girl pull her sleeves just a little farther down

‘Cause she can’t change how she looks

See a mother hide her face with make up

‘Cause she can’t change who she loves

See me, a friend to the outsiders

‘Cause I want to change these perspectives

We are all so determined with changing ourselves

To make other people happy

But we don’t need to change at all

We should love ourselves

Just the way we are

Just the way we’re meant to be.
