Words are powerful, especially when they’re written

Well, to me it is.

When we speak, people hear

But, do they actually listen?

I write because

My feelings become stronger and my thoughts are more organized

And people will listen

And I will be heard.

There are many ways I feel

Many things to say

Yet when the times comes,

It is hard to put these thoughts, these words together

To form a sound that most do not usually hear.

When I write

To a cousin, to a friend, to a teacher

To myself

I learn, I explore, I experience.

I save myself from myself.

I write because I, like many, have a story
