The Willow Speaks

Location

The rowdiness around me is a

Disturbance in this peaceful place

But I have stood here long enough

To rekindle the beauty that was once known

That beauty is being ruined by who?

Man, man is dissatisfying nature, destroying what iv’e been

Placed to create

Beauty

Why chop away my existence

Take away the landscape I have become a part of

Do not kick at my roots and

Mistreat me the way that you do

My branches have drooped here

Before your days, respect me
