Windmill of Change

Loud; but steady

An unfamiliar stillness in the air forces me to stop my rythmic movement

A thin layer of calm engulfs me as I slowly come to a stop

Wind can be powerful

Sweeping away everything near to you in a matter of seconds

Or it can be gentle

It will caress your mind and body

And take you to your happiest place

A windmill takes this mighty force head on

When the winds are at their highest speed

When they are tearing everything apart from their foundations

The windmill stands firm and transforms the wind

It turns the force and turns it into something it can use

Energy erupts from the movement of movement of the blades

And the stillness that once was

Becomes nothing but a memory
