Winter Miracles

Christmas music plays softly
In the background as the breeze blows.
Children laugh as lights are thrown
To and fro.
I smile softly as I watch this take place.
Someone throws a piece of paper at me
And I smile.
Times like this are when I thank God
For having provided me with life.
My heart still longs for relief...for freedom.
But with each passing day breathing seems to get easier.
Hour by Hour.
Minute by Minute.
Second by Second.
