Without Technology

Today we are consumed by technology,

Consumed by how society views us,

Consumed by tweets, status updates, and selfies,

As life quickly passes by,

We often share to the world through facebook, twitter, or tumblr,

Letting others know what you're doing, where you are,

You're staring at your phone screen or your tablet,

So are you really even there?

We are too consumed and obsessed,

We forget to actually live in these moments,

We forget how to get to know someone,

Without technology,

Without filters,

Without hashtags,

Without status updates,

Without the world wide web,

Who are you?

I am Rebecca,

I am not perfect,

But my flaws make me who I am,

Without these filters,

You can see the real me,

I have acne,

I have scars,

My eyebrows arent defined,

and I'm too pale,

But i've learned to love myself,

Without my apperance or the way I look,

I love music,

I am a singer,

An actress,

I play guitar,

Theater and perfoming is who I am,

I am Rebecca,

And without a filter

It's 100% me.

And it always should be.
