Woman’s Profile Dripping

Location

droplets

            dripp

periwinkle

            r  u  n  n  i  n  g

red beads cir – cu – lat – ing

echoing the crown of quintessential sparrows.

loose-handed lines

forcing the face forward

closed knuckles

creating contemplation.

“Pardon Me,” blurs the view

a disappearing daughter

covered by the passer-by

resolving to unimportance.

But the eye transfers

memory remembers

a view ENVISIONED

faithfully folds against forgetting.

the profile surfaces

on paper and mind

once seen once

the scene stands stamped.
