The Wonders of The Universe

The tiny glints of light

they shine a blinding bright

So far they seem to be

that they never see us

but we dream about them

The galaxies abundant

with suns, planets, moons, asteroids, and stars

The suns so bright and scorching

their warmth is a gift to planets like Earth

The planets uncharted

our curiosity is unmatched

The moons orbiting their home planets

destined to stay by their side forever

The asteroids floating aimlessly

searching far and wide for a stopping force-

a home

The stars so bright and beautiful

marvel any person at just a glimpse

We may never know all their beauty

for our distance is an infinite barrier which can never be crossed

For as much as we would love to explore the wonders of the universe

it’s ever expanding nature is impossible for us to overcome.
