With Words

Thu, 08/08/2013 - 20:46 -- Shawni

With words I can open the eyes of our people

The young, the old, the weak and the seemingly strong

The ones who don't believe that they have a voice,

An opinion, a choice, after they remove all the noise

The young people in particular have so much power

But they don't understand how to receive it

What good is power if you can't use it?

I tell you, we can move mountains before you even have time to say, "Prove it"

You are your yesterday, your today and your forever

And your insight is more abundant than the waters of an infinitely flowing river

I write to give you your power back.

With words I can open the eyes of our people

For you, for me, we are one and the same

First love yourself and you'll be surprised at the power you’ll gain

Think deeply, don't speak, form an opinion then speak out. Loudly.

Understand that settling for less is ungodly.

We come from kings, where is your faith?

This is your world; you have the power to make it change.

Those mountains? They moved when your thoughts came.

Pay attention, listen, this is only the beginning.

I write to give you your power back.
