Words are Ammunition

Words are the ammunition for the wars we encounter in our lives.

But what happens when someone has no voice, no way of standing up for themself?

I will not simply stand by and watch as the silent seek a way to make noise, to fight.

I want to be the person that explains to the silent how to have a voice.

I want to be the person present the first time a word is spoken, and a battle is fought,

Because there is nothing more inspiring than watching a person realize that they can indeed win.

And then, on the day when they no longer need me, I will look back on them like a proud parent,

For they now are free.

They are not only free to fight their own battles but also free to fight for those whom they love.

Our voice is the greatest gift we have, my job will be to create a voice for someone born without one.

Words are the ammunition for the wars we encounter in our lives.
