A Worthy Father

A Worthy Father

            Grand and blessed

            You came into my life

When it was a great big mess

Healed my wounds, fixed my problems

            That of a father, companion

            A convenient man

            Precluded the broken hinges

            Of my imperfections

            Just and Tranquil

            Yet you have your flaws

But only such that suit you

            Neither more nor less

            Solicitous about my life

I find compassion in your voice

            Beautiful and right

            So few can say

            Without dismay

You are a good dad, despite your pain

            But such keeps you human

            We share a same

            Relation between us

So I thank you in high praise

Great in ways, words can’t explain

            A worthy father so I say…
