this poem you’re reading is for you.

you think I don’t know you but I do.

this is for all the times you wake up angry

you still have regrets lingering from yesterday

this is for you because I see that you forgot to be happy

so you try to shame me for being so

this is for you because you let hours and the days and then months slip away

you let them slip because you forgot how to keep track of time

this is for you because you’re still broken from the guy who stole your purpose

this is for you because I know you can find that purpose again

this is for you because I’ve been in your shoes

this is for you because I understand your sadness

this is for your because I know why you’re hurt

damn oh damn, this is for you because I KNOW this kind hurt.

but I wanted to let you know,

this is for you because you have the ability to be happy again.

this is for you because you shine more than most

this is for you to read whenever you feel otherwise.
