You Are a Galaxy

You are a galaxy.

A collection of beautiful fragments that shine.

You are a galaxy.

The planets that orbit your mind are home to brilliance.

1 in 4 people worldwide have a mental illness.

Two thirds of these people do not seek professional help.

But you are more than the stigma.

You are more than the days that you can’t see the sun.

You are a galaxy.

And for a star to be born its nebula must first collapse.

Suicide is the third leading cause of death in adolescents and young adults.

On average, one person dies by suicide every forty seconds.

But you are more than a statistic.

You are more than the black hole that is trying to consume you.

You are a galaxy.

And you know what they say about stars.

They cannot shine without darkness.
