you think that holding someone tight will 

bring them closer 

           not a regular tight 

           tighter than that

close enough that you are him 

and she is you

you think you can hold them so tight that when you pull away, you still feel them.    

           sticking to you

           embedded in your skin 

but every time you pull away from me

it's more like a gaping loss

one I'll never forget

            and never ever redeem
