You Walked Out

You thought your job was finished, because you were finished with it
You couldn’t take it anymore so you left, setting bridges ablaze as you passed
Throwing in the towel, you walked out.

Narcissist with your blinders on, you didn’t think about anything else
Or anybody else, even family so you left, setting bridges ablaze as you passed
Quitting on all of us, you walked out.

You don’t want anything to do with family anymore
Leaving children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, setting bridges ablaze as you passed
Resigning your position, you walked out.

Nothing was perfect in your life, and you couldn’t handle that
You wanted no stress and perfection and left, setting bridges ablaze as you passed
Forfeiting the match, you walked out.

No matter what happens, you’re not satisfied
So you just dropped it all off to the ground, setting bridges ablaze as you passed
You just kept going further as you walked out.
