In Your Honor

Sun, 04/20/2014 - 15:13 -- EAnders

Fate's been kind to lead me here

So far, so close to childhood home

Three years gone an eon ago

No sign of that boy is left to show

Two graves were dug, one loved, one not

And now I know the path I want

One job could change all things for me

If I could pay what burdens me

The call it comes, of chemistry

Extending our frail mortalities

I'd wrap their genes in therapy

To help before their families grieve

And if I'd help a single life

I'll know I've done my family right

For what Iearned from death itself

The mark we leave is all that counts
