Your Shadow

Do you ever bask in the Sun with your shadow?

Or does your shadow dance up the walls like a tormented soul coming to get you?

It doesn’t matter; listen to your poetic genius

All in your power is the way you see this

The 21st century Monk advises us “brace yourselves” or “embrace it all”

We left our own heads to make love to Mother Earth when we said “free hugs to anything natural!”

If you catch a glimpse of your shadow

How often do you get the chance to dance with your shadow?

And I’m not talking about scary shadow figures dancing down dark alleyways

Please tell me you let your shadow adventure when Sunlight comes in through your window

Stop everything to go lone dancing for two figures as you say to your shadow basking in Sunbeams, “Hello, old friend, it’s been a while”
