You're no longer by my side

daylight passes me by I'm sitting on the ground with my eyes closed memories run by my side time wears me down as I think of how happy you once made me I open my eyes and the tears race down realize, you're not here anymore when it starts to rain the steady thump of the drops on my window pain lull me to sleep yet in my dreams you're there I'm not sure whether or not this is okay I question is it okay to be in your arms when I know that once the morning sun rises the kisses prove to be unreal so I get up awake, sullen still trying to put the pieces of my heart back together again as I walk out my door I'm sure a day will come when I won't wince at the memory of you so... goodbye?
