Zoe's Pursuit of Happiness

As I walk under the skyscraper,

I inhale the smell of the street vendor,

Coughing while I pass a near teenage vaper,

And dodging a sudden fender bender.

I wonder is this city for me,

How can I keep up this pace,

Then I remember how I am free,

And I look into a street window to see my smiling face.

I know I have the strength to push on,

I will drum to my own beat,

I walk onto Penn's track lawn,

And I remember to never feel defeat.

I will travel the world to help those in need,

I will see my own beauty as if I were a dove,

I will be there for poor children to feed,

And one day I will find my own definition of love.
