Poems from AuburnFury
You remind me now
of a Ghost that once haunted me.
One that made me cry,
into the small hours of the night.
In pain,
Unloved,...
On the inside,
I'm writhing.
Dueling against myself,
Fighting,
For possession of the blade.
My body is too full,
bursting,
with emotion...
Knots
Twisted up inside me.
I'm dying just to breathe,
to cry.
But I can't.
Not here.
I want to just
give up.
What if this feeling...
Frigid,
and hard as stone.
Still,
and unbeating.
Can this heart
possibly
feel love?
I think not...
Arrogant,
and aloof.
Am I not on...
For years I'd been alone.
They'd scorned me while I raised my flag,
Spitting venom and curses,
All because I loved my own gender.
