Sleep eludes me
There is no relief,
No break in my day,
Rest beyond my reach.
The bliss of the deep-

To skip across the night’s stars.
To fly just above the ocean’s surface,
Then to dive down deep, deeper…

There’s a space,
A hole,
A gap,
An Emptiness.
It’s left unfilled,
Why? I don’t know.
Or I should say,
I didn’t know,
Until You.
You...
Arms, body, slide, catch,
Push through with strong legs.
Repeat the motion, hundreds of times,
As you know victory awaits behind.
No way...
