Mind numb,
staring at nothing
Have two hours gone by already?
Why is it so hard to smile?
I'm trapped
and slowly dying..

Don't you see what is happening?
Don't you see the emptyness?
Don't you see cold stare?
Don't you see the pain...
Zero love to turn to,...
A doctor or a newscaster,
A pilot or a vet?
While these are great and Dandy,
To me they aren't real handy.
One job to change my life......
Tired.
Yearning for more.
But I have You,
with your warm arms wrapped
so safely around me.
I'm falling, but then
warmth.
You catch me, and...
I'm drowning.
I hear this everyday, not with words
But through their eyes they scream
out to me...I'm so alone.
They need me, but
