Asian-American life,
foreigner at home.
Asian shame painful,
generational patterns,
hard to break, sorrow.
Words unsaid at home,
a heart yearning to be found,
lost in tradition.
Not getting straight A’s,
Asian parents kick and scream,
kids confused and hurt.
Life scarred by trauma,
unconditional self-love,
the path to healing.
