I came out of the womb A mere spark Ready to learn everything life has to offer Not sure where to begin Or how to go about it But I thank God for my mother She fueled my fire

For me, I got to experience poetry first through my sister. She is five years older than me and all I aspire to be.
What would I do without her?! I am what I am because of her I do what I can to be her Independent, positive, a walking heart She's too admirable to be true. Day by day
There is no poem long enough To describe the closest person to me. His words spewing out of his mouth like a racecar As he tells the hard times of growing up.  And the many disagreeing debates
I wanna cry but the tears won't show

And I'm still thinking why. . . Why did god chose me for this struggle on my journey Who am I, why does my appearance gives the right to judge me.
A person of courage Could be a firefighter, a doctor... Someone who upholds justice. But I found a person of courage in someone else. Someone.. A bit more.. Different.  
My mom is my everything.She knows what’s going on,Without telling her anything.She can pinpoint what’s wrong.
You're walking home from the store It's burning on the pavement floor You have this sudden urge, what for? To pick it up and smoke it   You've never cared to try it When "peer-pressure" as they call it
She always used to say that the world was so unfair that the time was never right to save Her, for everyone lives for themselves, heartbreak a person itself where privacy lies only in thoughts
