Vivi was a dancer Tip, tippity tap Her feet intricately skipped As if she were communicating
Yesterday for my birthday, I started off with a bottle of wine... I took the train into town... I had half a bitter at the Café de Piaf in Waterloo... I went to work
I’ll never forget that last dance That I danced with her. It only took a smile, a glance And we were shoulder to shoulder. We sank so deep into a trance It seemed we’d never stir.  
Some people change because of pain, for better or worse, We all possess a light side within us and dance in it in the best of times
There's a darkness in my veins, I hadn't noticed before. as I stare at my hands, I feel so lost, unsure. I must have stared for hours, for when I did look up. I saw the dark before me.
I’d never ridden a motorcycle before. But when she asked if she could take me for a ride I couldn’t find a single reason to say no.  
I remember the little girl she used to be in her bright tutus and soft-footed slippers. She would stand on my feet as we waltzed, which I couldn't do as well as I pretended.
As humans, we desire to feel like we belong, To be with people who make us feel strong, As humans, we desire to feel acknowledged, To have others accept us and our vibrant knowledge.

My sneakers like to smile,  Their lips seem to tease, “It’s been a while. Put on music, Be at ease.” Those dirty old things, They taught me my footing, They taught me to count beats,
When I have both earphones in my ears, I swear I can dance.           The right playlist is all I need.           Either in my snow rimmed mirror.           In the path of hardware.           I'll prance.
The lights were dim and we were together. The DJ spun another record and under the faint illumination of the chandeliers we swayed. You spun me and I felt like royalty.
The pipes played as the piano sang along its keys, while twelve ladies danced, Travelling across with unprecedented beauty. Step by step. No falter could be seen. Elegance and grace surrounded the sisters.  
Truth be joy in eyes, Crinkles beneath the tired lids, Dancing with demons.
The music was loud; the parents were proud. It was the first night of the annual ball, and the little bear was dancing with a young girl. Greedy, gutsy, and golden, Goldilocks left the bear to dance alone.

wouldn't it be perfect, if eveyone danced as society told them, because there is no room for free will, because there is no room for a creative spirit, there is no room to be your own person,
I move Fluidly through the room Spinning        Arching                Bowing I leap through the air, landing and turning, almost     silent
She twirled and danced with grace and muse Her strings did not stop it All came to see the show she gave But then, the floor she hit  
She has passion in her eyes While she tries not to cry The cold hard floor has become her friend again She can not practice through the pain
An unplanned gathering,  Turned into a landmark event.  Ocean waves become steady heartbeats.

When I was little I liked to dance in the rain  I didn't care about the mud  clinging to my bleach blonde hair and ruining my shorts I smiled wide, not caring  but when I came in late home from school
A friendship so beautiful, The world's eyes are forever searching, But fail to find, rendered sightless by greed. The hatred tries to bleed into, incompetent.   A home broken like an ocean floor of glass,

Memories closing in Shadows of the past Windows breaking Glimmering shards Upon the floor Walls large and daunting No reflection in the mirror You don't exist A wisp of fog rolling by
The rain poured, and I stayed inside. Plenty of clouds, not a drop of light. Can't go outside, so I turn on a song Started feeling lonely before too long. Come on over, we can dance together.
Ghosts fade, yet memories remain laced within the final song. Voices moan as the ballad grows although, they're all long gone. Feet in time, I dance the line wanting to forget them all.
Steps she steps Thoughts forgotten Movements driven Purely Buy the sound The smell The taste Natures tears

Memoryze  
Bloody shoes, scraped feet, tired souls
Gracefully I dance
I smile in hope they will stop staring. I smile in hope that they will see the beauty I see when I look in the mirror. I smile in hope to make someone's day.
Somewhere I'm dancing in the street,  alone,  my sneakers dirty from running, running from feeling scared, running from any feeling at all, because in the end, feelings hurt more than they heal,
What am I underneath it all? I am afraid, of new, of alone, of failure.
Everywhere corner of this crowded room is filled with images of photoshopped beauties. Every rack is covered with girls who drown in perfection. Every man by their side is sculped by angels.

stomach in knotts heart racing cant breathe this is my favorite feeling its friday night and the lights are  oh so bright my makeup and hair are done  to the "T"

Senior year’s starting now
When darkness surrounds me, When hateful words weigh down heavily, There is always one thing, That is sure to bring, A smile onto my face. My worries vanish without a trace.
Sometimes, the hardest thing to find in this world is yourself. Who are you  when you have everything is as important as who you are when you have nothing
I swim through late night rendezvous  featuring old Christmas music, my nose guiding me towards Coppertone dreams. Coconut lime incense soaks the curves and ripples of my mind when my heart wants to fly

It's on the news, all of the time That death shall come and seek Where death shall find  
When I get up in the mornings  I don't want to die anymore. I don't get up and think that I am ugly. I eat on a regualr basis. I have friends. I wake up and I am happy. I am the person I want to be.
Why should I sit down watching time flow past like a river filled with melancholy reminders when I can be standing singing dancing to the rhthymn of a thousand voices a hundred drums
I haven't had lessons since the age of three but me?   I'm a dancer   Those rhythms in my soul are always pounding Pulsating, shaking, crying, hoping, longing For a dance floor  
Deep in the forest where the wolfs bane grows The midnight fairy comes out to dance. Her motions are so graceful and her beauty perennial.
17 years of ballet never attended, toes bouncing, heels
I smile forever. The soft music starts to play. Then our hands connect.

He is the sole musician   his notes push her every movement. His rhythm sets her stepsHis melody sets her movementsHis grace matches her own.
A dream divineIs only a nightmareIf a thought is to blind beyondMeasures I often question such a beautifulCurse of a dreamIs it only a reality that we often wonder?
These delicate lumps of of tendons, muscle, bone Carry on for mile, miles all alone. As their master's eyes close To escape from it's woes, These small little toes will keep fluttering along.

People are unpredictable. If you think they are who they say they are, then you're wrong from the start. You can only know somebody, if you truly know their heart. But how will you know that if they cover up their scars,
The dancer's shoes lay alone,Arms wrapped around their bodies in a deep sleep,That fell upon them like a heavy cloak.Yet still there is a rigidity,That remains poised and ready for action

Have you wanted to go dancing, With someone who calls themselves clumsy? When you yourself are clumsy? Makes you think, can two clumsy people Make a graceful dance? Or do two wrongs make a write?

Oops. I am not in love with you, But I have written too many poems With your names in all of the blank spaces To ignore this feeling.
Inside the body There is where our enigma resides, Between our arms and our thighs, It thrives.

And so they remember, what it's like to dance in the rain. Let the walls drop, laughing at the world.
