Hope is what gets us through the day and into the next
So why does is it lacking in our society?
Understand that
not everyone is the same
when you think about it
where did people get the "standard" for criticizing people
since when did not wearing brand name clothes
become the definition of
Standing before you,
An endangered soul.
Mold with gold and once embodying the whole given.
And now
My Frail and lanky stature, stands before you
piercing every eye.

No sir, death bestows us first

Revolving the world, 24/7
Rattling in people's pocket whenever they step
Slowly diminishing with every purchase
Working for minimum wage
Not receiving enough for survival
But she stands tall
As if it weren't enough, to choke up all my trust
friends are foe, boys come and go,
the clothes I wear lack lust.
Come to school and "look a fool"
go home then start again.
grey hallways,
close us in,
trapping our imagination ,
trained to fight, trained to win,
similar to prison,
I wish it weren't true,
wondering about what awaits for me in the big wide blue,
Money,
the universal language for happiness,
Money,
the international reason for terror,
Money,
the medium that's lacked in those who need it,
and in abundance for those who know no true will,
