Well I’m sorry that I don’t feel like smiling today.

I tried so hard not to fall for you
Or maybe I was just convincing myself I was
I guess that is exactly what screwed me over, huh?
I guess after it all, I figured I was invincible this time
Im not.
Not hiding from, but embellishing
reality was a game I played since three.
In my head and on the paper
I hated the judgement from Teacher since five.
Books built walls to protect
Still happening.
Marched for nothing?
Television tells me that,
we did not win the rights we asked for.
As women,
as men,
as people.
People in a society that should consider us that,
People.
