This poem was inspired by the events of COVID19 and all of the present racial
discrimination going on.
In the poetry reading,The Piano Magic, the inspiration comes from old buildings and theaters
and what used to be inside... And even, the possibility within an imagination, of what might
Alone on a desert island,
Or the middle of the sea;
Atop a snow-covered mountain,
Or wherever I might be,
My faith in God, the great I Am
Is all I need to see me through,
For what I need to survive,
I've watched as she grew from a child into a beautiful swan.
So young, yet so smart.
As she grew up strong and tall.
And took her fair share of graceful falls.
But she always stood back up,
