I am always in the passenger seat.
You can drive me wherever,
But there is nothing I can do.
If I protest,
I still can't drive.
If I try to drive,
I crash.
My whole life I was told how lucky I am
To be born in this country led by Uncle Sam.
I am lucky that I am not starving or dying
But if I tell you I love it here, I’d be lying.
From dawn to dusk
Unable to seize
Unable to capture
Unable to freeze.
The 8:30am heat.
It has awaken to burn
Your sole. Pigment.
She cries into the nightAs she heads for the skyHer face is full of PainShe has nothing to gain. She cries herself to sleep
