Mirrors,
Show you who you wanna be and who you pretend to be
But most of all
They show you who you really are
And sometimes that's not always welcome
Mirrors,
This is my holiday mirror
I keep it wrapped up in the closet
and bring it out
and dust it off
and peer inside it
once each year.
Within it sits the shadow
of a girl with the same eyes as mine.
The girl in the mirror always wanting to differ.
Wanting to be slim , not wanting to suffer.
But that girl in the mirror, is not really me.
She is of my imagination, what I believe I see.
