We build up speed, we build up speed
What we want, we say we need
This is our nation's newest creed
That when we reach the highest billing
We simply raise the debt cieling
We know no need, we know no need
Everyday we try and find a new reason to stay.
Passing train signs that promise us a way out of our own minds
Trying to skip boulders as if small stones,
We take refuge in our sleep,
We let our eyes close.
If my Head is up there
a part of the clouds,
then let the words that come out my Mouth,
be the first droplets of a Storm.
Storms can flood towns,
clearing away rust and rubble
The flow of the human race is nothing more than a flow
We seem more and more content in our ways we forget to grow
The Individualistic idea has inspired oneself to lead a life of independence
Usually things pop up in my mind
But suddenly they disappear through time
I always think I know what I want
But sometime I don't
I'm young, confused, and alone
What do you expect coming from a youngan
We love to hate but hate to love
everyday i watch girls cover their face with make-up
we pour ourselves into our jeans
trying to fit the mold of what we think we should be
I wish I may, I wish I might
see my guardian angel tonight,
and if she comes while I sleep
I pray to God she kisses my cheeks.
Leave me more of those sweet angel kisses,
College.
Just the word can make you feel a certain way.
But hey, it will get you somewhere someday.
Right?
Might.
Be the best you can be and thats all you can do.
