I am one of the different, bright nine.
I was the first to finish and shine,
Central High School where I made my scene.
I’m a Little Rock Nine; Ernest Green.

I am one of the lost, special nine.
Brown v. Board of Education; sign
My life, I was the one against the hoard.
I’m Little Rock Nine; Eliza Eckford.

I am one of the outcast, brave nine.
In schools, I ended that parting line,
To stop segregation; was my promise.
I’m Little Rock Nine; Jefferson Thomas.

I am one of the sad, striving nine.
I went to curing as my main line.
But never forget my one assert,
I’m Little Rock Nine; Terrence Roberts.

I am one of the judged, hopeful nine.
Graduated from Central, all fine,
I’m a real estate now, but those years,
I’m Little Rock Nine; Carlotta Lanier.

I am one of the tragic, good nine.
Saved myself turned to a foul line.
To the Central School I’m a hickey.
I’m Little Rock Nine; Minni Trickey.

I am one of the poor, beaming nine.
I traveled around the world to twine,
The colors of people is my spark.
I’m Little Rock Nine; Gloria Karlmark.

I am one of the strange, gentle nine.
After the school, I went to teach opine;
To children, abused women about care.
I’m a Little Rock Nine; Thelma Wair.

I am one of the colored, amazing nine.
Former student and part of the benign
Nine. Who defended their own ideals.
I’m Little Rock Nine; Melba P-Beals.
