When he walked through
When he walked through the door it was love at first sight.
I was playing with my blocks when I say his gorgeous face.
It was pre-k, I was young, and I was in love,
so I walked up to him to share my toys,
and the worst thing happened; he pushed me down,
but from that point on I would never forget him.
As we grew up, he continued to pull me down.
He teased me, he shoved me, and he never shared his toys.
Everytime I cried to my mom she always said "Oh honey, he's just in love."
"With me?" I thought, it couldn't be, I was me, and he was him.
As much as I wanted to hate him, I couldn't, remember it was love at first sight.
Then one day he told me to meet him at recess behing the ramp face to face.
At this time it was third grade, and as he came into sight
my heart fluttered and I thought, it's him it's really him
"H...hi" I stuttred but he just shushed me and kissed my face,
without another word he walked away and left me dazed and in love.
After recess I asked him why he kissed me and he just pushed me down.
I cried and as he walked away he said "Shut up it never happened" and broke my favorite toy.
Now it was sixth grade and luckily we were too old for toys.
You would think by now I'd want to punch him in the face,
but I couldn't because I was so hopelessly in love.
As much as he teased me, especially now that I had braces, I couldnt hate him.
At this point we started to have middle school dances and something was going down,
rumor had it he was going to ask me, but I laughed "wouldnt that be a sight."
But low and behold one day during recess he came into my sight.
He looked at me, then at my fried and said to her, in front of my face,
"Do you want to go to the dance with me?" When I heard this my head went down.
Ouch I thought I guess I'm just his toy.
She said yes and all through the dance I stared at him.
Hey! Don't judge me I was madly in love.
Now it was twelth grade and you'd think I'd be over him,
but no, I was still in love.
When all hope was lost, he called my name from down
the hall. He said he had to show me something, so we went out of sight.
My heart fluttered, he looked me in the eyes, and all the blood rushed to my face.
Then, suddenly he got really shy and reached into his pockets to pull out my old toy.
"It's your toy from third grade that I broke" he said shyly face looking down.
I looked at him suprised, the look of awe on my face.
"Why?" I asked. He kissed me and smuled "It was love at first sight."
