Àlversins

You're an over-watered flower
Left to wilt and wither
Trying to find the sun
But you're trapped under a shaded space
A lonely place.

I wish to nurture you
Replace your roots
Make you a tree
But how could I when I'm just a seed
Who has no ability to grow

Not only am I hidden in your small shadow
But I'm tangled in your roots
And you hold on even though you might not know
You're draining the life out of me
But I don't mind

I'm just glad you leave me room to breathe
Even though I lack the leaves I need for Photosynthesis.
