“What I stepped into was me!”

I stepped upon a shattered ground,

Each echo screamed without a sound.

A harmony of pain so deep,

It woke the fears I’d tried to keep

But in that moment, clear and true,

I saw what suffering came to do

Not meant to haunt or bring despair,

But stir the grief already there.
