When the sky finally closes its eyes to the night The sun makes way for the glowing stars And witness the night turn back into light Was a wonder taken away by the cruel embrace of an uncaring car. Then when eyes reopen to an unfamiliar ceiling The color of white becomes part of a horrid monochrome. Asking why the black sky and the white ceiling Were all that was left for far too long. But my eyes soon became accustom to the dark canvas That was littered with millions of iridescent dots. And the gentle radiance of the moon calms the ravenous Eyes that were deprived of the vibrant color they sought. Even if the movement becomes an image of scarring The luminosity of the moon remains just as everlasting.
