You’ll always see her with a smile on her face. You’ll never see her frown. You’ll always wonder what made her day. You’ll never see this girl feeling down. But what you don’t know might surprise you. What you don’t know might give you second thoughts. Or maybe what you don’t know will change you. You don’t know the battle she has fought. She laughs off the pain she feels inside. She makes jokes only a few would get. With that smile on her face, she tries not to hide— But keep that speck of happiness she has set. She’s thinks of the positives instead of being weak. She thinks of the side that’s brighter. But once you see that tear fall down her cheek— You know that you’ve broke her.
