-I hope he remembers me

And the way my hands used to

caress his chest when we laid in our bed

The way my tongue curled with his with each

tender kiss

-I hope he remembers me

And the moments we shared when

we would dance to the slow rhythmic

sound of the Kompa beat

The way my hips sashayed to every note and

intertwined with hsi legs to create a sultry dance

-I hope he remembers me

And the excitement that exploded

from my chest each time he placed a

finger on me

-I hope he remembers me

Each time he walks by that cafe shop that we

used to sit at and drink hot chocolate with

my legs hoisted onto his

The smell of the coffee being made that was at times intolerable

but he stayed for the sake of mine.

-I hope he remembers me

Every time he takes a glance at the artwork

I made for him

Each brush stroke, a reminder of how it was made

to create a masterpiece for him

-I hope he remembers me

And the way he'd make me smile from ear to ear just by looking at me

My grin, a testament of my love and

endearment for him

-I hope he remembers me

Even though we've been apart for years and

he has moved on with another woman

married with kids and a home in the country

-I hope he remembers me as much as I remember him

My first and only true love.

The one I let go away.
