For soon you'll see

as I have in me

that I must be

left alone

For there's no cure

I am not pure

Though once, you were sure

I was

Soon you'll find

That I'm not blind

And that my mind

Resists shaping from yours

So then you leave

No longer naive

And I'm left to grieve

Connection now lost

You do more harm

With your wicked charm

The happiness you farm

Becomes pain when you leave

So now you see

Just let me be

You must agree

I'm best left alone
