#1

I made a sad, unfortunate mistake

It haunts me at night while i lay awake

Boys see me as toy to play with now

I simply don’t understand why or how

I used to be loved, so fun and carefree

Then he came and stole that away from me

I drown my sorrows in drugs and the like

I feel I might as well become a dyke

For boys no longer stare, they look past me

With my decisions my friends disagree

While they used to support all that i did

There are many things that they now forbid

I have lost the life that i once cherished

As i walk past old friends, i feel embarrassed

I came to this city to start anew

But now it seems as if that dream is through

I cannot take back the things that i’ve done

I cannot escape, and i cannot run
