10 feet above

I'm 10 feet above

Above the ground

Above safety

I'm ready to jump

It's only 10 feet

10 feet that keeps me here

I'm ready

But then you ask me to stay

To wait

To hang on

I'm now frozen

10 feet above

10 feet above death

You ignore my pleas for you to move

To give up

To stop loving me

I've missed my chance

You won't move

You swear you love  me

You picked me

I don't know why

But you saved my life

10 feet

A 10 foot climb

I'm on the ground

with you

And I'll stay

For you

Because I would have jumped

But you didn't let me
