10 Reasons why I cry

Sometimes when I’m alone I cry.

The tears that come from my eyes 

They are more bitter than unsweetened cocoa.

I cry because I have a soft heart 

And maybe I don’t belong in this world. 

I cry because that’s not what I wanted.

I cry because when I say NO they don’t listen.

I cry because I feel disgusted with myself.

I cry because no woman deserves this.

I cry because the first thing they always ask is “What were you wearing”.

I cry because it seems like society doesn’t respect OUR choice.

I cry because it’s always the woman’s fault.

I cry because when I look at myself in the mirror,

I don’t see the happy little girl I used to be.

I cry because it’s always done by someone you once trusted.
