10 Responses to the "N-Word"
All of our ears have met it. The rocks being thrown at each other's thin shield of glass break because words actually do hurt. In this society, this word is used as if it were a greeting. “What’s up nigga?”, “That’s my nigga.”, “NIGGA!”.Even I feel the awkward letters scratch my throat...How can one be so ignorant that they stoop down to speak such diseased language? Like a psychopath that kills without feeling or, like a lover that cheats with no regret or, like you tying a noose to a 12 year old little black boy and not shedding a tear. Slave masters would spit this word in your face without hesitation. How stupid do we look?
My throat is parched from the usage of this bullet because our mouth is the deadly pistol that triggers when spoken in this way.
This word tastes like gasoline as it drips off the human tongue yet you think that by substituting an “Er” for an “A” it won’t taste that bad. No honey, it is still deadly if such a substance is ingested through the soul.
The pigment of your flesh does not give you the VIP pass to say “Nigga”! By allowing your throat to produce such hate, you disgrace the black culture you are either in or looking at. N-I-double G- E-R. These 6 letters were written with pain onto each slave’s name tag.
Do you feel hurt when you say it? Hurt so bad you could taste the leather whip on your spine? How do you think a black male from the year 1620 would feel to be disrespected by their own blood and people?
The racist groups are having a puppet show, holding the black community by their vocal cords. They are controlling you and you’re giving them the power by refusing to cut the ropes.
Her hands rubbed raw to reveal the pink flesh and open cuts due to excessive labor, she reaches her sweet innocent hand out to shake yours. Her feet have grown blisters, bruises, and calluses from immense sprinting in the cloudy moonlight. Her back feels like brail from all of the whipping scars and her heart dissolved from seeing her husband lynched from an apple tree. Would you look into her onnix eyes and call her this word?
It is now consuming children who do not know the real meaning behind this lethal 2 syllable word. Let us teach these children that this word is not a replacement for “Friend”, “Buddy”, “bro”, or an african american. And shame on you if you know where this word originates and still use it like human lungs that use oxygen.
To think that this vulgar sound has followed us for over 300 years and no one has cleared their throats to say something. I know it bothers people because it is an annoying pest. It smells like scolding black tar suffocating the pores of my body as it melts my skin like plastic to an open fire.
Now I’ll ask you this question from your very own perspective: is this language wrong and absolutely poisoned, or is it just another word?
