10 Things I'm Grateful For

My love,

What am I thankful for? I can list 10 things.

1. Food.

The way it makes me feel full, content, happy, and complete.

2. Music.

The way it connects to me on another level.

3. Dance.

The way it allows me to be in my element, filled with energy, expressing my rawest emotions—it’s as if no one else is around.

4. Movies.

The way it begins and ends sharing a story.

5. You.

The way you make me feel full, content, happy, and complete. The way you connect to me on another level. The way you celebrate me in my element: filled with energy allowing me to express my rawest emotions—it’s as if no one else is around. The way our story may go, its beginning. Hoping this never ends.

6. Exercise.
The ability to work out, working on myself. Testing my limits. Pushing myself to do better and be better.

7. Fridays. I get through the entire week and I’m still going. Work ends and my day is over by two.

8. Parties. I can finally let go, kick back, and relax.

9. Rain. It’s so peaceful and leaves me in a state of tranquility. I can lay back in bed, unwind, and fall asleep to its pitter patter.

10. Your company. I go through the entire week missing you.

It’s Friday, and I know I finally get to clock out at two.

I go to you. And we are able to work this out, work on us. See where life takes us. Test our limits—be better, do better. The weekend is here and I can finally let go of everything else, kick back and relax in your company. It’s so peaceful and leaves me in a state of tranquility. We lay back, unwind, and I fall asleep with you as my partner.

I love you.

With all my love,

Desiree.
