1,001 Fears
I believe that my greatest fear was to lose your trust
From not being honest or genuine enough
Hiding behind my shadow, covering myself up
Yet, everything I do is the labor of my love
But it seems I’ve put myself in a bad situation
Building in my mind a fortress of my creation
And I’m not sure what to
I feel I find myself at a crossroads
I have my own path; I just want to know where you will go
I feel partly an optimist, but partly a cynic
A nurse, so to speak, coming before the doctor visits
That’s another fear; that I’ll never change
That I won’t pull someone up and see them saved
But I’m not sure if I can
I’m afraid I will fail in my service to God
Because it this point I think that it’s all that I’ve got
If not to help, to at least be the spark
For I see in you a moldable heart
I hope I can do that without by being a friend
So you’ll love me in turn even after I sin
But I wonder if I could
Something wrong with this poem?
