Dear You,

Come home and hold me

Just for a week

A day

A minute

Even if you could just tell me you want to

I need to feel wanted by you again

Because you left

And it’s not your fault,

But you did

You left

And I needed you.

But you weren’t always there

Again,

Not your fault,

But you weren’t

You weren’t there

And I needed you.

So come home and hold me

Just like we always planned

I’m still waiting on that promise you made me

Or at least it sounded like a promise

You always told me

You always said to me

We will see what the world has in store

So whenever you’re ready

I’d like to find that

Can we spend all day searching for our future

And if we can’t find it

Can we keep looking?

Because I’m not ready to give up

Not yet.

Just come home and hold me

Yours truly,

Me
